When it comes time to decorate your home for Holidays and the winter months, you'll probably start with a Christmas tree and interior decorations….but don't forget your front door, the first thing your guests will see as they come in and out to deliver goodies and gifts through the season.
The entrance to a home sets the tone for the holidays more than any other time of year.
Whether decorating a traditional or contemporary, home whether its bungalow or a condo, natural elements that grows locally can highlight any home. We have lots of suggestions that we can decorate with, for inspiration using some nature from the out doors decorative picks, or look for natural grasses, fruits, leaves, pine wood and cones.

A trendy, sparkling Christmas table is in this year decorated in a glamorous style with colours like gold bronze, olive, wine red, dark ruby red, an amber colour and/or a deep blue-green. Luxurious Fabrics like velvet, embossed leather, feathers and sequent beaded Christmas balls create lovely effects.

Think green, red or anything in between. Think beyond the traditional colours instead of traditional green what about lime green or Fuchsia instead of red. In terms of colour, almost anything goes. Various shades of purple are on trend this holiday season. Black and white with patterns but no Damask please.

We decorated this Oakville home’s front hallway entrance. We brought the out doors in by using natural materials of pine and pinecone. The vase, candleholder and candle can be used all year round just by adding some different accessory to adjust with the seasons.

The first and foremost importance is what is your style, what do you have in your own inventory and what is your budget. Collect items wherever you go, it gives you an opportunity to develop taste an, eye.

Is ask your self what am I capable of doing?
Keep it simple and manageable. This is why so many people do not
end up entertaining. You do not have to decorate the whole house
like The Griswold’s. A few focal points of the house can be very
effective. The front door with a beautiful wreath and urn pots, this sets
the setting to your home. The fireplace and of course your dinner
table.
Traditional Christmas Is Still In Fashion And Always Should Be
People always seek security in familiar surroundings. The Christmas tree, real or synthetic, is the focal point of Christmas decorations. Tinsel of course has been out for a very long time; instead we are adding lots of natural materials like bleached wood, pine, and pinecones. Combining old cherished pieces with new purchases creates an original style. Vintage, recycling, reuse, reclaimed is very chic.
